Hello there!

I'm Allana Tavares 🖖
Welcome to my page!

About me

I’m a PhD candidate in Computer Science at UFMG, advised by Dr. Martín Ravetti. I'm a member of Future Lab and LAPO (Laboratory of Operational Research). My main research interests are Complex Systems, Optimization and Machine Learning!

I’ve always really liked Maths, Humanities and interdisciplinary topics. Because of that, I became a bachelor in Administration. During my graduation, though, I had the opportunity to be a junior research fellow in Network Science, applying it in a real-world bidding processes. That lead me to also discover programming, starting with R. But that was it, I was absolutely hooked!

During my free time, I'm usually reading or watching something - and sometimes baking (which is 70% math, 10% your oven and 20% luck).

Feel free to find me on my socials or message me here!
